Orsis has launched its Solar PV metering and monitoring portfolio of products and services, adapted from established fiscal and sub metering products currently in the utility market.

The products use radio communications to reduce initial capex costs and reduce ongoing opex costs. The company claims that it is possible to save up to 75 per cent on data retrieval charges a year alone with the products.

“Since the introduction of the FiTs, we have witnessed a phenomenal response from the launch of our Solar PV metering and monitoring portfolio,” said business strategy manager, Richard Weetman. “We have a fantastic Ofgem approved metering solution for the solar PV market which has already been a great success, particularly in the social housing market where the solution is being widely sought.

“We have a wealth of experience in delivering high quality metering and data retrieval services for installers, operators, housing associations and other stakeholders.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for us to work closely with housing associations, installers and operators to deliver relevant, valuable and timely data to ensure all stakeholders maximise their investment and ensure tenants and home owners are benefiting from the energy generated.”
