Dublin, Ireland. 24 May, 2011. TM Forum chief executive, Martin Creaner has singled out M2M as a key topic for discussion at this year’s Management World conference in Dublin.
There are mixed emotions among delegates at exchanging the obvious attractions of five days in Nice on France’s Cote d’Azur for rainy Dublin and President Obama’s traffic chaos. But there’s no escaping the improvement in the conference and exhibition venue, which last week welcomed the British Queen.
Creaner told journalists assembled for the TM Forum’s largest annual conference, “Network operators have a trusted provider relationship with their customers. M2M – including smart grids, mobile money, telegraphy and automotive – these are all being mentioned by operators as areas in which they want standards quickly. That will be a focus for them in the TMF in 2011-2012.”
