Oulu, Finland. August 14, 2012 –- Sensinode Ltd, a provider of software that powers the Internet of Things, is offering a free trial version of its NanoService™ software, a scalable, end-to-end solution for M2M. NanoService™ is designed to enable rapid deployment of challenging M2M systems by providing efficient M2M data management and allowing applications to be easily developed using well-understood Web services.
The NanoService Trial download package includes a trial version of NanoService Platform, a versatile Node Emulator and the Connected Home Reference Application configured in a demo.
NanoService software is based on the latest IETF standards for efficient M2M communications, including the Constrained Application Protocol (CoAP) and Datagram Transport Layer Security (DTLS), and can be run on any IP-based device over IP networks ranging from 6LoWPAN to cellular M2M. Sensinode says that the software is well suited for use in ZigBee Smart Energy 2.0, ETSI M2M and other standard Web-based environments. Sensinode has already demonstrated the use of NanoService software in multi-vendor environments for ETSI M2M, in IPSO Alliance Interop and in ETSI Plugfests.
Sensinode NanoService software is also available under two commercial licences: Developer and Enterprise. The Developer licence provides a feature set suitable for development and piloting, whereas the Enterprise licence is fully featured and includes DTLS security, clustering and load balancing for any deployment size.
“We are excited to expose NanoService technology to an increasingly large customer base with the new Free Trial,” says Zach Shelby, Sensinode’s co-founder. “This complements the excitement we have already seen for NanoServices with key customers and partners.”
Sensinode Ltd is developing commercial 6LoWPAN and related IPv6 technologies for the embedded internet. Sensinode’s NanoStack, NanoRouter and NanoService software comprise an innovative, open-standard, end-to-end software solution to realise the vision of IP-based networks of smart objects. Headquartered in Oulu, Finland, Sensinode is a founding member of the IPSO Alliance, and a member of the ZigBee Alliance and ETSI.
