Aeris and Novotech announce partnership to drive distribution of M2M services

San Jose, California, USA. August 28, 2012 — Cellular carrier Aeris® Communications is partnering with Novotech Technologies, a global distributor of wireless, M2M products, services and solutions to deliver M2M connectivity services. Novotech will now begin distributing products connected by Aeris’ intelligent machine-to-machine framework.

Aeris’ network will optimise performance and provide deep visibility for every Novotech device on its network. This will ensure both flexibility and reliability, while enabling Novotech customers to better control efficiencies.

Unlike many wireless communications services providers that do not own the wireless network infrastructure over which they provide services, Aeris owns and operates what is said to be the only wireless network infrastructure built exclusively for machines, so that it is designed to deliver optimised M2M communications to billions of devices.

“Novotech’s focus is helping companies to drive their business through wireless machine-to-machine technology,” said Richard Hobbs, president of Novotech. “We selected Aeris for M2M services because it provides the flexibility, reliability and control our customers need. With Aeris, we’ll be able to provide more value to our customers and a clear business advantage to accelerate M2M technology in the market.”

“We are excited to partner with Novotech to bring its M2M products onto our network and accelerate the growth of M2M technologies. Aeris is the only carrier created exclusively for M2M services, and the clear choice of system integrators because we provide best-of-breed solutions,” said Mark Cratsenburg, VP of sales and marketing at Aeris Communications.

Established in 2001, Novotech is headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario, with offices throughout Canada, the United States and Latin America.

From telematics to medical devices to remote machines, Aeris Communications is more than just a network provider. The company encourages its customers to use machine-to-machine technology in innovative ways, and aims to understand its customers’ present and future goals in order to deliver intelligent, M2M solutions.
