Telenor Connexion launches world’s 'smallest and smartest' GPS tracker for parents and pet owners

Trax GPS tracker

Stockholm, Sweden — Telenor Connexion has now enabled real-time tracking of your loved ones with a new “smart device” called Trax, that is designed to put parents’ and pet owners’ minds at ease.

A constant concern for parents is making sure their children are where they’re supposed to be. With Trax, a small and smart GPS tracker locating loved ones, parents can have some peace of mind.

WTS has developed one of the smallest real-time GPS trackers on the market, in both size and weight. Through a reportedly intuitive app, parents and pet owners can monitor their loved ones online from almost anywhere.

Trax has a built-in sensor that measures speed and direction. It also allows you to draw geo-fences on a map and alerts you when boundaries are crossed. It even alerts you if the device is dropped or exceeds a certain speed.

“Parents and pet owners require a reliable product that is small in size, lightweight and doesn’t get in the way of play. Trax is designed with high quality components and smart technology that meet all the above requirements,” says Fredrik Danelius, CEO of WTS.

By partnering with Telenor Connexion WTS could take advantage of Telenors integrated SIM card, the smallest on the market, as well as an outstanding multi-operator agreement.

“After evaluating several vendors, Telenor Connexion was the obvious choice. No other company could provide us with the same level of extensive experience, flexible business models and professional support through the whole design and development phase”, says Fredrik Danelius, CEO of WTS.

Thomas Strandin, head of Account Management at Telenor Connexion, said: “Trax is probably the most technologically advanced personal GPS locator in the market, yet WTS has succeeded in developing an application that is intuitive and easy to use. We are proud to be part of this smart and reliable tracking solution and look forward to supporting the global roll out.”

Trax will be launched in September 2013 for €185 with 2 years of data and roaming across the United States, Canada, Australia and  EU included in the price.
