Aeris hires Michelle Avary as vice-president, Planning and Business Development, Automotive

Santa Clara, California, USA,  April 16, 2014 – Aeris Communications, the Made for Machines™ technology and service provider, today announced the addition of Michelle Avary as the Vice President, Business Development, Automotive. Avary brings more than 15 years of experience to the role, serving most recently as the Director, Technology Strategy for Harman International. Previously, she worked for Toyota for more than a decade where she led and developed strategies for its telematics products and services.

When we combine Michelle’s talent and passion with the Aeris technology and innovation, we are confident that we will rock the industry on its heels and that’s exactly what we intend to do,” said Steve Millstein, Managing Director of Aeris. “No one knows the industry like Michelle and no one has more creativity and initiative.”

Aeris has experienced tremendous growth within the automotive sector in the past year. It launched three automotive OEM programmes and added over one million devices on its network. Furthermore, it built out its GSM and LTE technologies in addition to its existing CDMA footprint, and signed agreements that allow Aeris to deliver services globally in 190 countries through multiple carrier partners.

Avary will serve as a key member of the executive team where she will be responsible for the overall management of Aeris’ automotive product planning and business development.
