NetComm Wireless unveils the universal 3G M2M Router Plus

Sydney, Australia, April 29, 2014 – NetComm Wireless Limited has announced the launch of its 3G M2M Router Plus (NTC-6200 series), a versatile, intelligent and reliable M2M device that addresses universal applications in areas such as asset management, security and surveillance, building automation, point of sale, healthcare and smart city initiatives.

With global M2M connections set to reach a quarter of a billion this year, the GSMA has highlighted the importance of developing M2M capabilities that add value beyond connectivity. The new NTC-6200 series has been designed to deliver reliable connectivity and remote management capabilities to ensure businesses can keep operational costs to a minimum and run their assets efficiently.

“Almost half of the world’s mobile operators offer M2M services and, in addition to connecting machines to wireless networks, the focus is shifting to solutions that improve business productivity and efficiency, and ultimately create more value. As well as providing reliable data connectivity, the NTC-6200 is equipped with a number of variants and communication interfaces for optimal versatility and seamless integration,” said David Stewart, Managing Director and CEO, NetComm Wireless.

Designed for universal deployment, the NTC-6200 delivers fast and reliable point-to-point or point-to-multipoint communications over penta-band 3G HSPA+ networks worldwide. The NTC-6200 enables easy integration with enterprise IP systems using VPN connectivity, and supports remote management so users can troubleshoot, upgrade firmware and rollout new applications from any location.

The embedded Linux OS and Software Development Kit (SDK) facilitates the development of custom software applications giving users the freedom to create their own software app to meet their specific application requirements. To also ensure a plug and play connectivity, the NTC-6200 communicates across a diverse range of machines and sensors simultaneously using a variety of multipurpose interfaces such as GPS, I/O ports, Power over Ethernet (PoE), ZigBee, Serial, Ethernet and USB.

Built to withstand harsh industrial environments, the NTC-6200 is housed in an innovative polycarbonate case with robust rubber end caps to ensure durability for challenging environments and features flexible mounting options with built-in wall mount and DIN rail mounting options.
