Stream Technologies joins the ThingWorx Ready Partner programme to offer unified access connectivity for Internet of Things applications

Stream Technologies, has announced it has joined the ThingWorx Ready™ Partner programme. The ThingWorx Ready Partner programme allows hardware and software companies to integrate their product with the ThingWorx IoT platform, greatly simplifying the creation and deployment of IoT solutions.

Stream Technologies will integrate its award-winning Stream IoT-X™ unified access connectivity environment with the industry-leading ThingWorx IoT platform, which can improve time to market and reduce overall solution costs. The unique IoT-X™ platform enables comprehensive, secure management of connected devices regardless of connection type — allowing customers to reach beyond the gateway all the way to the sensor level to provide a single, unified view of every relevant connection, whether it be satellite, cellular, Wi-Fi, short range or low-power WAN.

The IoT-X™ platform was recently identified by ABI Research as “one of the most disruptive technologies to hit the IoT market in years,” in their report Hot Tech Innovators, released last month. By becoming ThingWorx Ready, customers will be able to develop an entirely new class of IoT applications leveraging each point of integrated, multi-technology device networks.

“Combining these two sets of technologies is truly ground breaking,” said Nigel Chadwick, CEO of Stream Technologies. “Together we are moving one giant leap toward an ‘out-of-the-box’ offering for a staggering number and variety of enterprises that have business and industrial processes relying on connected sensors and devices.”

“As leaders in our respective platform based technologies,ThingWorx and Stream together are disrupting and challenging the status quo by eliminating the significant fragmentation within the IoT sector,” said Chris Kuntz, VP, IoT Ecosystems, ThingWorx, a PTC business. “We’re excited to have Stream Technologies join the ThingWorx Ready Partner programme to help accelerate the enablement of dynamic IoT applications.”

Stream and ThingWorx will demonstrate the potential of the new combined offering this week at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. To see a live demonstration, guests attending the event should visit the Stream exhibit at booth 7C18 today through Thursday.
