Technavio publishes smart home M2M in Western Europe 2015-2019 market analysis and forecast

The smart home M2M market in Western Europe is expected to grow at a CAGR of 47.11% from 2015-2019, according to a new report from research firm Technavio.

The life expectancy of people in Western European countries is higher than that of people in other developed countries. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), the life expectancy of people in the UK, France, Spain and Germany is 81 years, on average.

“Connected health M2M technology offers remote patient monitoring, which enables doctors and caregivers to monitor patients at home from any location. This is helping to circumvent some of the challenges associated with an aging population, such as the cost of traveling to hospitals,” says Faisal Ghaus, vice president of Technavio.

Furthermore, the latest industry analysis by Technavio emphasizes increased broadband penetration in households that has resulted in high demand for connected-TVs in Western Europe, thus impacting the overall market growth.
