Risk Technology expands into Philippines with TouchMedia partnership

Risk technology

Next generation telematics specialist, Risk Technology, continues its international expansion following an exclusive partnership with TouchMedia in the Philippines. TouchMedia is one of the region’s leading systems integrators, with significant experience in the implementation of network security, transactional kiosks and payment processing solutions.

The companies will work collaboratively to deliver a disruptive telematics solution to the Philippines fleet and insurance industries. As part of the agreement, Risk will provide TouchMedia with its industry leading product suite which comprises on board devices (OBD), SIMs, a data analysis platform and a smart phone app.

The solution will enable insurance companies to offer drivers a UBI model, scoring them based upon driving performance and setting premiums accordingly. Driver behaviour is detected using core parameters such as acceleration, deceleration, speed, location and time of day.

Risk and TouchMedia will also offer vehicle health, crash detection and video data capture services to fleet managers.

Proactive vehicle health maintenance ensures that fleet vehicles can stay problem free on the road for longer. Remote diagnostics technology can also identify the cause of faults on the road and offer solutions.

Risk Technology’s accident recognition system ensures managers receive accurate reports of accidents. Visual recordings of the moments before and after the incident can also be recorded via cameras installed on vehicles.

Mark Packman, CEO at Risk Technology

“This is an important relationships for us as we continue our international partner expansion strategy”, said Mark Packman, CEO at Risk Technology. “TouchMedia’s local knowledge and credibility are second to none and we look forward to working with the company as it enters new markets through the use of telematics technology.”

“Our collaboration with Risk Technology will be a game changer for the local insurance and fleet industries and helps put us at the forefront of the machine-to-machine (M2M) industry”, added Manolo Bado, CEO of TouchMedia. “Our companies are very much aligned in our vision to bring an unrivalled telematics solution to the Philippines.”
