KORE, has announced its involvement in a new partnership between Intelligent Telematics and Commercial Hirecar Insurance Company, RRG (CHIC).
The new partnership between Intelligent Telematics and CHIC represents the commitment of both companies to accident reduction and a greater synergy between the telematics/video and insurance industries. Within this new partnership, KORE will be providing network connectivity to Intelligent Telematics’ IT1000 device.
Intelligent Telematics’ IT1000 3G vehicle camera is a forward facing camera that possess a built in battery back-up and 3G modem, ensuring that any accident footage is captured and transmitted from the device within moments of an incident happening, even if power is lost during the incident.
“This new alliance between ourselves and CHIC represents a huge step forward in the future of camera technology and insurance claims reduction,” said Richard Baxendale, president, Intelligent Telematics. “Our IT1000 device will not only reduce claims ratio and cost of insurance, but will also enable CHIC to offer its new and existing clients even better terms than they currently enjoy.”
“We had been looking at various devices as we were preparing to roll out our new Taxi and Limousine insurance products; however, we couldn’t find a device that had the speed of reporting or anywhere near the functionalities that the IT1000 offers us,” added Michael Poller, president and founder, Commercial Hirecar Insurance Company, RRG. “We were extremely impressed with Intelligent Telematics’ device and decided to roll this out as part of our campaign that we have just launched in New Jersey and will follow in several other states including Tennessee, Florida and Pennsylvania.”
“With the pay-as-you-drive insurance model becoming more of a focal point with insurance companies and drivers, KORE is happy to be a driving force behind the success and implementation of this partnership,” said Dan Cebula, regional sales manager, KORE.
