Greenwave’s AXON Predict deployment delivers real-time analytic insight to Kaon gateway and Set-Top Box products

Greenwave Systems, Inc. the global software and managed services provider for the Internet of Things (IoT), announced its customer deployment of AXON Predict™, its real-time visual edge analytics solution with Kaon, a global top 5 provider of Broadband connectivity and advanced Video Set-Top Box technology for Service Operators world-wide. This follows Greenwave’s introduction of AXON Predict earlier this year as part of the company’s award-winning AXON Platform®.

Kaon provides Broadband and Pay TV devices, software and system solutions to more than 160 operators in 80 countries. Deployed with Kaon’s DOCSIS3.1 cable gateway. AXON Predict delivers real-time on-device analytics, with built-in operation, Wi-Fi performance and anomaly detection, allowing service operators to assess, analyze and solve customer problems faster, and with a reduced operational expense.

“Kaon’s customers will see the benefit from AXON Predict in root cause analysis, decision support and implementing real-time notifications for anomalies detected in their networks, both in-premise and in their distribution plant” said Ted Grauch, executive vice president Kaonmedia.

“Integrated with Kaon’s wide range of CableLabs certified DOCSIS 3.1 and 3.0 gateways, xDSL and new G.fast modem products, Greenwave’s embedded network monitoring technology provides deep analysis as well as aggregated dashboard functions, saving significant dollars for our customers. Operators will also see improved service levels, and real-time assistance for network operations teams and outside plant managers through better visibility of issues.”

Greenwave’s AXON Predict executes analytics, pattern dectection and machine learning down to the chip level, extending computational power and real intelligence to industrial, commercial and consumer market segments within Broadband systems and the Internet of Things (IoT).

The company’s real-time visual edge analytics software and sophisticated data analytics platform enable enterprises and OEMs to manage critical data at the edge of a network. This real-time series is far more effective than waiting for data to upload and be processed in the cloud, reducing data-cloud data size and costs as well as providing timely decision making.

Users of the Kaon’s DOCSIS 3.1 and 3.0 products will see enormous benefits from the AXON Predict’s suite of value-added services, resulting in instant, actionable snapshots of device and network health, with reduced operational expenditures.

Roger Gregory

“We are excited to offer this critical analytics tool to enhance the management of products developed by Kaon, and offer premium services to service providers,” agrees Greenwave Systems vice president of product marketing Roger Gregory. “As cable and telco providers prepare for the next generation of IoT networks, AXON Predict will accelerate their readiness for the world of managed devices and services.”

“The need for improved, real-time analytics capabilities at the edge of the network is real and increasing, and embedding real time analytics provides multiple benefits in performance and efficiency,” said Brett Sappington, senior director of research at Parks Associates.

“Consumers rely on their home and mobile networks to support a growing number of high bandwidth, performance-sensitive applications. Two-thirds of U.S. broadband households subscribe to Over The Top (OTT) video services, and one-third have more than one subscription.

Service providers are relying more on automation to address potential service issues, speed the resolution process, and maintain customer satisfaction levels. AXON Predict and Kaon are great examples of how the industry is moving to address this issue.”
