aspenONE v10.1 release aims to enhance reliability and connect industrial IoT asset

Keith Flynn

Asset optimisation software company, Aspen Technology, Inc., has announced the general availability of the Aspen Edge Connect and Aspen Cloud Connect products in the latest aspenONE® Version 10.1 software release.

The Aspen Connect family of solutions creates a sustainable Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) infrastructure that scales from pilot to production, delivering low-touch, high-impact analytics and machine learning applications to asset-intensive companies within a connected, high-performance data environment on premise or in the cloud that optimises networking and storage.

Aspen Edge Connect software is hardware-agnostic, supporting Linux and Windows on most edge devices and works with modern and legacy industrial controls and connections to avoid costly ‘rip and replace’ disruptions.

Aspen Cloud Connect is server-based and supports a wide range of communication protocols, collecting, cleansing and analysing data from historians, data lakes and other data sources, integrating with process, equipment and enterprise data via aspenONE Manufacturing Execution (MES) and Asset Performance Management (APM) software to support scalable, sustainable application development and deployment.

“Critical business decisions require the actionable data-driven insights possible only with machine learning and advanced analytics,” said Keith Flynn, senior director, Product Management, R&D – Architecture & Security. “AI-enabled IIoT solutions at the edge and through the cloud increasingly are helping companies drive asset reliability, increase operational efficiencies, maximise productivity and manufacture products at reduced costs and consistent quality.”

He added, “Leaders are seizing the opportunity to use data science to drive profit and business sustainability. Aspen Edge Connect and Aspen Cloud Connect enable organisations to obtain ROI by using data to drive asset optimisation and reach high and sustained levels of operational excellence.”

The Aspen Connect family of solutions is the latest addition to AspenTech’s asset optimisation software solutions that help companies push the limits of performance and run assets faster, safer, longer and greener. AspenTech is working with customers to extend optimisation’s reach through the combination of process modeling expertise, advanced analytics and machine learning.
