Sensible 4 delivers full-stack autonomous driving software, autonomous driving computer, and sensors for autonomous driving to Italian Deep Tech Enterprises Factory e-Novia.
Sensible 4’s technology is being used to automate the new modular vehicle platform Rob.Y. Together the companies strengthen the European autonomous automotive industry and bring new solutions to market.
Sensible 4’s all-weather autonomous driving software will be used in Italian E-Shock’s Rob.Y, a flexible, electric vehicle platform by e-Novia. This Italian-Finnish collaboration brings an exclusive solution for automotive OEM’s and Tier1’s, thus reducing vehicle development time and costs.
“E-Shock is a great example of a leading European technology company enabling future mobility. I’m delighted to see our autonomous driving software being integrated into this vehicle platform”, says Harri Santamala, CEO of Sensible 4.
E-Shock offers the flexible integrated mechatronic solutions for vehicle performance control, safety, and robotisation. Sensible 4 develops self-driving software that allows autonomous driving with minimal computational requirements in all weather conditions, including adverse variable weather such as snow, and heavy rain.
While E-Shock Rob.Y is designed from the ground up to be robotised, combining the Sensible 4 software to the Rob.Y platform results in a European autonomous electric vehicle platform that can be used as a base for various end customers products.
First, on-road calibrations, pilot tests, and the first fully autonomous passenger transport service will be conducted within the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) testing campus in Ispra this summer.
