‘Connectedcare’ solution offering detailed vehicle insights is helping insurers manage individual risk profiles

Trakm8, the provider of technology solutions for insurance telematics, connected car data and fleet management, has launched a portfolio of ‘connectedcare’ services that work alongside its driver data analytics to give insurers a more detailed insight into their customer’s vehicles, enabling them to further understand and manage individual risk profiles.

This solution gives insurers access to an array of vehicle data insights that includes true odometer readings, service intervals, battery health, and diagnostics data. Working seamlessly with the Trakm8 driver behaviour insights, the combined data will offer an in-depth profile of insurers’ customers, empowering them with the data required to help truly understand their profiles and offer more accurate and personalised cover.

These ‘connectedcare’ insights give insurers a huge opportunity to not only provide a better and more tailored service to their policyholders but also open up new commercial opportunities. Having a detailed overview of customer vehicles gives insurers valuable information including any parts that need replacing or upgrading and this can help mitigate future traffic incidents and vehicle breakdowns.

Adam Gooch, business unit director for insurance at Trakm8, adds, “At Trakm8 we are making connected car data solutions a reality for insurers. By offering our clients driver data insights along with our connectedcare services we are empowering them with knowledge and the information needed to provide a truly market-leading and tailored service for their policyholders.

Our new ‘connectedcare’ insights are part of our comprehensive end-to-end insurance telematics solutions that are designed to give insurers an easy and comprehensive solution to offer Pay as You Drive (PAYD) and Usage Based Insurance (UBI) policies as part of their portfolio.”
