During the event, Fibocom has presented the most up-to-date module portfolio, wireless solutions for the Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) as well as AIoT industries.

High-performance Module Solutions Extending 5G Leadership

On day 1 of MWC Vegas 2022, Fibocom has launched the 5G Sub-6GHz and mmWave module FX170(W) series. Powered by Snapdragon X65 5G Modem-RF System, the 3GPP Release16-compliant module series is designed to offer fiber-like wireless connectivity experience with technology enhancements including NR CA (Carrier Aggregation), 4×4 MIMO, PC1.5 and more.

Besides, Fibocom wireless modules have successfully received certifications from carriers in North America and Latin America carriers. The new generation of FG360-NA 5G module has been certified by T-Mobile, further empowering the deployment of 5G FWA with enhanced Radio Frequency (RF) and antenna design under T-Mobile’s nationwide 5G network. In addition, the LTE-A module FM101-NA has been certified by Verizon, which, with high reliability and extended applicability, can boost highly efficient connectivity for IoT applications by leveraging Verizon’s LTE network. Fibocom 5G modules FG160/ FM160 have completed commercial network testing under two of the largest Brazilian carriers’ 5G SA networks.

Driving Innovation for FWA with Industry-leading 5G/ LTE Modules

Apart from various wireless communication modules, Fibocom has demonstrated the best-in-class module solutions for the global FWA market. Embedded with Fibocom FG360, the5G Wi-Fi gateway packs Wi-Fi 6 technology into a sleek design, which can provide reliable connections for more users on more devices. FG360 is also integrated in the 5G CPE, supporting 5G Sub-6/ LTE-A/ LTE connectivity for IoT services over fixed wireless broadband access. 5G ODU, adopting Fibocom FG160, is a high-quality solution designed for remote areas to meet the non-stop internet connection demand.

The 4G router is equipped with Fibocom’s CBRS-only module FM101-CG, accelerating private LTE deployment in multiple IoT scenarios. In addition, Fibocom Cat 4 module NL66 is embedded in the industrial gateway, offering cost-effective connectivity for smart utility, smart energy, etc. Other demos include 5G Ethernet gateway and 5G Wi-Fi hotspot, both embedded with 5G module FG160 that supports OpenCPU, enabling 160MHz bandwidth, 4096 QAM as well as Wi-Fi 6E.

Wireless Module Solutions Boosting the Development of AIoT Industry

Fibocom has also showcased its empowerment across the AIoT industry, such as smart retail, smart logistics, smart meters, HD live streaming, AI, etc. Equipped with Fibocom LTE Cat 1 module MC116, the POS (point-of-sale) machine provides a low-cost and highly functional Android-based solution for small or medium-sized businesses (SMB). The tracker, integrating Fibocom Cat 1 bis module L610, can be used for heavy vehicles fleet management and tracking.

Embedded with Fibocom 5G smart module SC161, the computer vision demo supports 5G NA/SA networks as well as high-performance graphics engine, which can empower AIoT applications such as VR, AR, door entry system, telemedicine, etc. Adopting Fibocom SC161 and FG160 modules, the 5G live streaming demo can play 4K video smoothly while optimizing cost-performance and power consumption.
