F-Secure, KAON partner to boost protection for connected homes

Helsinki, Finland 31 January 2023 – F-Secure, a global provider of simple cyber security, and KAON Broadband, a source of integrated solutions featuring home network devices and associated revenue-generating services, will offer the F-Secure SENSE connected home security solution directly through the KAON platform.

“Partnering with F-Secure is in line with KAON’s continuing work on transforming Customer Premise Equipment (CPEs) into open source-based service delivery devices,” says Carlos Santos, global head of products at KAON. “Quantum platform is a solution to the challenges service providers face in introducing new innovative services to their subscribers. And thanks to our new partnership with F-Secure, we´re pleased to add SENSE connected home security solution capabilities to our CPE App Store.”

SENSE protects every single connected device in the home including smart TVs, gaming consoles, baby monitors, and other devices unable to run traditional security software against cyber threats with functionalities embedded in Wi‑Fi routers.

“We’re thrilled to see KAON choose F-Secure as cyber security partner in their Quantum platform a platform that provides router manufacturers with flexibility and drives a wider supply of value-added services across the ecosystem,” says Dmitri Vellikok, F-Secure vice president, network security.

A recent survey found that nearly all consumers get their home Wi-Fi router from their communication service provider, and more than three out of five consumers, 64%, report that they would prefer to get their internet security from the same provider, up from 60% in 2020. *

“The F-Secure SENSE Partner Programme removes complexities at each step in the process, enabling the easiest possible delivery of industrial-grade solutions to consumers with a maximum return-on-investment for router manufacturers,” Vellikok said.

Router manufacturers can find out more about how to take part in the SENSE Partner programme here.
