Santa Clara, California, USA — Aeris Communications, which owns and operates the only cellular network designed exclusively for machine-to-machine (M2M) communications, has appointed Mohsen Mohseninia as its vice president, Market Development for Europe.

Mohseninia brings more than 18 years’ experience to the role, serving most recently as the head of the M2M business in the UK for Logica as well as being a leading member of the global M2M leadership team responsible for development of strategy and market development.

“Mohsen Mohseninia is an industry expert with a proven track record of bringing M2M solutions to market in ways that add significant value to customers,” said Aeris vice president of Sales and Marketing, Mark Cratsenburg. “Aeris has experienced rapid growth in the global customer demand for our platform, and Mohsen is the perfect person to lead that growth in Europe.”

Mohseninia will be responsible for extending and growing the Aeris solution throughout Europe, in particular its connectivity platform for carriers.

“It’s an exciting time to join the Aeris team,” says Mohseninia. “Their development and ownership of the entire M2M platform, from the core network to the application enablement layer, allows them to offer solutions that provide unique benefits to M2M service providers by simplifying the complex value chain, and rapidly driving carrier revenue and profitability. Aeris has significant momentum with marquis customers such as Hyundai, Honda and Sprint, and I look forward to expanding on their success in Europe.”

Built from the ground up, Aeris Communications owns and operates what is said to be the largest cellular network designed exclusively for machines. Aeris Communications reports that this enables it to deliver the reliability, flexibility, control, and efficiencies that machines demand. Aeris’ customers are deploying systems in applications as diverse as telematics, medical devices and remote machines.
