Cradlepoint lifts Brick from Infoblox to build EMEA partner sales

London, UK. 21st January 2021 – Cradlepoint, a global provider of cloud-delivered LTE and 5G wireless network edge solutions, has appointed Darryl Brick as the company’s new vice president of Partner Sales in EMEA.

The new hire marks the latest development in the company’s rapid expansion in Europe, Middle East & Africa, following Cradlepoint’s launch of two new regional offices in Europe in 2020. Brick is set to continue this momentum by nurturing existing and launching new partnerships with suppliers and distributors in the region.

With extensive reseller and distribution experience in leading partnership and alliance programmes at a number of IT and networking organisations – including HP Europe, Juniper Networks and Infoblox – Darryl Brick joins Cradlepoint at a crucial time, as the company solidifies its position in 5G wireless edge networking solutions. With 5G representing a potential multi-billion dollar opportunity in EMEA, his extensive remit will principally focus on granting partners access to the 5G ecosystem and securing a share of this valuable market.

Brick will also be responsible for driving the company’s ‘Partner Only’ strategy, focusing on a strong distribution base and skilled partners, whilst adding sales and pre-sales resources in 2021. He will lead a strategy for enhancing Cradlepoint’s existing partner landscape with improved programmes and benefits and will be recruiting new partners who will act as entry points for the growing enterprise market.

This year, Cradlepoint launched its 5G Partner Specialisation programme, which will bring fresh opportunities for partners across the region. The aim is to identify and recognise suitable partner organisations that are capable and proficient in positioning and selling Cradlepoint’s 5G solutions to their customers.

“5G is going to be revolutionary, especially for enterprises. Preparing customers for the adoption of 5G is a task I will relish in my new role at Cradlepoint and I’m excited to be on board,” said Darryl Brick, Cradlepoint’s new EMEA channel director. “We are in the early stages of building out the partner community, who will seize the opportunity being presented, by both the market movement, as well as the leadership position Cradlepoint has established.”

Brick will expand his partner management team across the region with immediate effect and builds on the growth that Cradlepoint has experienced this year with strategic hires made across Central, Southern and Northern Europe.

“We are delighted to have Darryl on board to help us extend our partner community throughout Europe, Middle East, Africa in 2021 and beyond,” says James Bristow, SVP EMEA at Cradlepoint. “Working with our partner network, we want to continue to deliver the end-to-end network capabilities and quality of experience customers will need to confidently put 5G at the centre of their WAN strategy.”
