Fuze unveils Fuze 7, the next evolution for Fuze desktop

Rob Scudiere of Fuze

London, UK. 16 December 2021 – Fuze, the cloud-based communications provider for the modern global enterprise, announced Fuze 7, the newest version of the Fuze desktop application for Windows and Mac. Beginning in Q1 2022, Fuze 7 will replace the flagship Fuze desktop application, which will remain available to customers. Fuze 7 is the next iteration in the evolution of Fuze’s fully integrated UCaaS and CCaaS platform, cementing Fuze’s commitment to meeting the needs of the enterprise.

“Fuze 7 is a powerful, responsive, and fast application,” says, Tim McMullen, corporate IT network & systems management, at The Buckle, Inc. “The enhanced user experience combined with an open-source foundation for integrations, empowers our teams to remain productive and communicate seamlessly across any device or platform.”

“Organisations across industries are undergoing major digital business transformations driven by the COVID-19 pandemic, and cloud-based communications providers are diversifying options for organisations looking to embrace hybrid work,” says, Jim Lundy, founder and CEO of Aragon Research. “Fuze continues to evolve its all-in-one unified communications platform to drive productivity in the workplace and empower their customers to remain competitive in their respective markets.”

Fuze 7 combines the power of the Fuze communications platform with a new lightweight desktop application that more effectively empowers workers. The next generation platform gives users access to faster loading, improved responsiveness, and includes enhanced capabilities that maximise user productivity and maintain business continuity within increasingly hybrid work models. New features include:

  • Meeting mini-controller for viewing active speakers and screen share while multitasking
  • Background blur that puts the focus on the user during meetings
  • Screen share from chat that enables workers to share content without starting a meeting
  • Seamless user experience across desktop and web applications

Fuze 7 also provides a highly extensible platform that enables Fuze to bring new capabilities to market faster, while also building enhanced integrations and embeddable experiences.

“As enterprise specialists, we are committed to providing the best end user experience and customer services and support through continued innovation and are constantly evolving our technology to meet the ever-changing needs of the modern worker,” says, Rob Scudiere, president and chief operating officer at Fuze. “Fuze 7 gives our users the tools and flexibility they need to remain productive to drive business outcomes, and the ability to provide deeper integration with line-of-business applications, to meet users where they work.”

This release comes on the heels of Fuze’s recent platform update, which included new mobile, meetings, and admin features, in addition to Microsoft Teams integration enhancements. This year, Fuze also announced expansions to its vertical solutions for manufacturing and recruiting, as well as additional platform integrations with Microsoft Teams and other top meeting vendors. This past year, Fuze was recognised as the Visionary in the 2021 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Unified Communications as a Service, a Leader in the 2021 Aragon Research Globe for Unified Communications and Collaboration, a Leader in the 2021 Aragon Research Globe for Video Conferencing, and a Contender in the 2021 Aragon Research Globe for Intelligent Contact Centre. Fuze has also continued to be recognised for its innovative solutions through a steady stream of patent inventions, being awarded more than 35 patents to-date.
