Telefonica Ingeniería de Seguridad (TIS), the Telefonica Group company provider of integral technological security, has signed an agreement for the distribution in Spain and Andorra of the Axon portfolio, a company in public protection technologies, emergency equipment and security forces.
Telefónica Ingeniería de Seguridad (TIS) has added to its portfolio, among others, one of Axon’s most technological security products: the Axon Body 3 bodycam. It is a communication tool capable of transmitting live with high image quality (reducing blur in movement and optimising the result in low light conditions) and offering real-time geolocation through LTE technology. In addition, the four built-in microphones allow the bodycam to capture audio in high quality up to two minutes before the user may suffer an incident, as it has a wind noise reduction function and other technological advances.
The Axon Body 3 has an AI chip that activates the bodycam when it detects patterns, such as gunshots and falling noises, and sends instant alerts over the mobile network using Axon Evidence, a cloud-based information management platform that easily manages, shares and accesses digital files while preserving security and chain of custody, so users and command staff can gain real-time insight and act with more information.
The most widespread use of Axon’s products is linked to emergency services and security forces, but it also has applications in the private sector, such as in infrastructure surveillance patrols or remote technical maintenance interventions, where the operator can send and receive data and directives from the control centre.
“The alliance with Axon allows us to continue to expand our portfolio of security products with first-class technology that can be fully integrated with other technologies, and to help private sector companies and emergency and security forces continue to optimise their processes to promote safer environments for workers and citizens,” says Lorena Senador-Gomez Lazaro, commercial and business development director at Telefonica Ingenieria de Seguridad (TIS).
