Mountain View, California, USA (Business Wire) — Jasper Wireless has appointed Rajat Bahri as its chief financial officer (CFO). Rajat has been brought on board “to steer Jasper Wireless through this growth phase”, said Jahangir Mohammed (pictured), CEO.

Rajat brings more than 20 years’ experience in financial leadership with publicly listed companies to Jasper’s executive management team. He joins Jasper Wireless at a time when the company is working with 2,500 enterprises and 15 operator groups globally. Jasper recently closed its best quarter ever with three new major mobile operator group signings.

Rajat will head finance, accounting and legal operations for Jasper Wireless, headquartered in Silicon Valley (Mt. View, California). His appointment follows successful tenures as CFO of Trimble Navigation from 2005 to 2013, where he led the company through a period of strong growth to revenues of more than US$2 billion, and 15 years in a number of roles within the financial organisation at Kraft Foods, Inc.

“With the service expanding to over 100 mobile operators and 2,500 enterprises globally, Rajat has been brought on board to steer Jasper Wireless through this growth phase,” said Jahangir Mohammed (pictured above), CEO at Jasper Wireless. “With the expertise that Rajat brings to bear, our swift pace of technology innovation will be supported with sound financial management, enabling Jasper to support its operator partners and global enterprises in driving the mobile Internet of Things revolution.”

“What began as ‘M2M’ has now grown beyond recognition to become the ‘Internet of Things’, where connected devices in all industries and walks of life are changing how we live our lives and how industries are evolving. Jasper Wireless has been at the forefront of the mobile IoT business for over eight years and I am excited to be joining at a strategically pertinent time in the growth of both the industry and the company,” said Rajat Bahri. “Jasper’s people are passionate, its business model is robust and scalable and its market holds enormous potential. I look forward to playing a key part in Jasper’s growth over the coming months and years.”

Jasper Wireless solutions are powering the mobile Internet of Things across more than 100 mobile operators and millions of devices on six continents. Jasper’s cloud-based platform enables operators such as AT&T, Telefónica, América Móvil, NTT Docomo, Aio Wireless, KPN and Etisalat to provide a standardised global network with local support to customers including Honeywell, Nissan and Garmin with the tools and support to launch, manage and rapidly scale connected services.

ABI Research ranked Jasper Wireless #1 in connected devices platforms and the company won the 2013 GSMA Global Mobile Award for Best Cloud Based Technology for Mobile. Jasper supports more automotive companies than any other connected vehicle platform provider, including five of the top six global vehicle manufacturers.
