Novatel Wireless receives AT&T network approval for advanced M2M portfolio

Novatel Wireless, Inc., a provider of intelligent wireless solutions, has announced that it has achieved AT&T network certification of its advanced M2M devices, including the MiFi Powered SA2100, the MT4100 mobile tracking device, the SA-G+telemetry platform and the Enabler HS3002 module.

With AT&T certification, Novatel Wireless’ M2M products will deliver unparalleled telemetry, vehicular connectivity and telematics offerings to customers on AT&T’s network.

The MiFi powered SA2100:

The SA2100 is a programmable M2M gateway solution for commercial and consumer telematics as well as fixed telemetry markets.

Designed for high-bandwidth M2M applications, the SA2100 enables Internet connectivity via 4G LTE for Ethernet, USB, GPIOs and Wi-Fi enabled solutions in such areas as telemetry, fleet management, connected car, digital signage and security.

The MT4100:

The MT4100 is a flexible, full-featured M2M device for fleet management, designed to deliver insurance telematics and stolen vehicle recovery solutions. The MT4100 provides superior GPS location performance, using an on-board Smart Agent event engine for accelerometer based driver behaviour reporting, geo-fencing, messaging and other events over the AT&T HSPA network. The MT 4100 also features multiple I/O ports, 1-Wire® interface, Garmin Fleet Management Interface (FMI) and an M2M API that simplifies fleet management back-office integration and compatibility with the on-board Smart Agent event engine.

The SA-G+:

The SA-G+ operates over the HSPA network and provides connectivity for machines requiring low data throughput to the mobile Internet. The SA-G+ can drive applications from Remote Monitoring Automation & Control (RMAC) in public utilities, oil/gas, manufacturing and facilities, to cellular connectivity for ATM, vending and lottery machines, parking meters and gaming terminals.

The Enabler HS3002:

The Enabler HS 3002 is a 3G M2M HSPA module equipped with an embedded smart agent designed to excel in applications requiring low power consumption, emergency voice, extended temperature range and multiple radio choices providing seamless integration into mission-critical OEM solutions.

Joe Peterson, Vice President of Sales, Novatel Wireless’ M2M business unit said: “Novatel Wireless is dedicated to providing industry leading M2M solutions for a wide variety of applications. With the recent certification of the SA2100 to run on AT&T’s network, our industry-leading portfolio of M2M devices expands the range of customer applications supported including telematics, usage based insurance, in-vehicle Internet connectivity, vehicle tracking, theft recovery and more”.
