Telit m2mAIR Mobile to deliver global out-of-the-box 3G connectivity to USRobotics customers

Raleigh, North Carolina and Schaumburg, Illinois, USA, May 27, 2014 – Telit Wireless Solutions, a global provider of M2M solutions, products and services and USRobotics, a Division of UNICOM® Global, have announced that the USRobotics new USR3500 Courier Cellular Modem will ship with out-of-the-box 3G connectivity and mobile value added services provided by Telit m2mAIR Mobile.

In January 2014, USRobotics introduced the USR3500 Courier M2M 3G Cellular Modem, specifically developed for business customers. The company’s latest addition to the Courier business modem product portfolio was designed to make cellular installations faster and more cost-effective with secure, reliable connections enhanced by quick and simple deployment delivered through the Core service infrastructure from Telit’s m2mAIR Mobile service group.

The Telit m2mAIR business unit is a critical element of the Telit “ONE STOP. ONE SHOP.” delivery model—making “The Internet of Things Plug & Play”, by delivering complete edge-to-cloud/enterprise connectivity, application enablement and value added services. The m2mAIR Mobile portfolio includes a tight knit set of services specifically designed to address all aspects of M2M device operation on mobile networks.

”The partnership with Telit m2mAIR provides our customers a quick and simple avenue for wireless services,” said Mary Galbavy, Director of Operations of USRobotics. “With this packaged solution our customers, both large and small, can benefit from the partnerships with carriers around the world for considerable global reach.”

m2mAIR Mobile Core is the basic cellular connectivity offering by m2mAIR Mobile, offering standard and tailored rate plans plus access to the company’s ePortal and Web services API for convenient management of customer accounts. Core services include rich functionality for activating and operating devices in mobile networks. Additional services from m2mAIR Mobile include Intelligence, designed to provide a quick and easy way to analyse the business performance of M2M deployments, and Aware, a monitoring and risk management service to provide a constant view of the behavior of an entire M2M deployment according to easily configurable APIs and rules.

“The USRobotics approach to simplifying the adoption of M2M devices is closely aligned with our mission to make The Internet of Things Plug & Play,” said AJ Dalola, General Manager of Telit m2mAIR Mobile North America.

“We’re pleased to support the unique differentiators of the USR3500, including the option for persistent connectivity as well as remote maintenance and control. Together Telit and USRobotics are lowering the entry barriers to a wide range of M2M solutions. As this is a product for business and mission critical applications, USRobotics can also leverage our 24/7 carrier-grade Network Operations Center (NOC) and other resources to add to their customers’ quality of experience they have come to expect from the USRobotics brand.”
