Wyless, the end-to-end service provider for M2M and IoT, and Getrak, the provider of horizontal cloud based tracking solutions to the fleet and telematics markets in Brazil, has announced a broad partnership agreement with Wyless Brazil subsidiary Wyless TM Data. Together, the companies will offer a fully managed end-to-end solution for device, cloud and managed connectivity across all four mobile operators in Brazil and rapidly expanding to other markets and operators in South America.

The partnership is aimed at creating simplicity and cost savings for Getrak customers, that together manage over 250,000 vehicles in the Brazilian market, by providing a one-stop shop for device, cloud and network services.

Frederico Menegatti, CEO of Getrak, said, “We want to generate more value to the services we provide to our customers by helping them save costs significantly through traffic data management tools and multi-network capability such as the Wyless Porthos platform. Together with Wyless we will offer Getrak customers a full end-to-end solution for managed telematics services.”

“Wyless mission of enabling freedom for Internet of Things is to offer simple bundled solutions together with partners like Getrak, and we are excited that this partnership will increase both our respective market shares in the rapidly growing Brazilian M2M and IoT markets as a consequence of our work and alignment,” says Sergio Souza, CEO of Wyless TM Data. “By offering advanced tools for monitoring and reporting usage, supply chain management services and dedicated account management, which today’s MNOs in Brazil find difficult, if not impossible to provide, we will bring unprecedented efficiencies to Getrak customers, who are the leading telematics providers in Brazil.”

According to the International Data Corporation consulting firm (IDC), the Brazilian M2M market has already reached $2 billion dollars in 2014 and telematics services account for nearly 40% of the M2M market. The expansion and popularisation of the Internet of Things (IoT) is just being made possible because of the spread of mobile broadband and the reduction in the taxation of mobile telecom services.  Together Wyless and Getrak are well poised to take significant market share across Brazil and neighboring markets.
