Presentations from two global telecom operators will demonstrate the benefits and application scenarios of oneM2M specifications for the telecoms sector. Sangho Choi, project manager for platform development, SK Telecom will address how operators can utilise oneM2M technology as part of an IoT platform. Dr. Yue Liu, assistant manager of the IoT Research Institute, China Mobile will explore use case examples of China Mobile’s potential adoption of the specifications within its network, as well as its experience in providing intelligent M2M services.

Dr. Fran O’Brien, Mobility CTO Team of Cisco Systems and oneM2M Steering Committee chairman commented, “The showcase is an opportunity to see the oneM2M specifications in action in a diverse set of sectors and applications, from smart homes to the connected car. Together we will explore what is next for the industry and learn more about the value the new oneM2M specifications deliver.”

The oneM2M Showcase is free to attend and aimed at all industries developing M2M solutions, including industrial manufacturers and suppliers, consumer device manufacturers, component suppliers, and telecommunications service providers.

Dr. Omar Elloumi, head of M2M and Smart Grid standards at Alcatel-Lucent Bell Labs and newly elected oneM2M Technical Plenary chair, said, “I am delighted to be presenting the latest candidate release of oneM2M specifications, highlighting what these mean for relevant markets.
