Seattle, Washington-based Airbiquity®, a connected car technology and service provider, has established a multi-year agreement with network operator AT&T. As Jeremy Cowan reports, under the agreement AT&T will utilise Airbiquity’s Choreo™ cloud-based services delivery platform to enable selected aftermarket connected car program end user registration and device management.
Airbiquity technology has already enabled service delivery for 30 million connected vehicles around the world from leading automotive brands. Choreo provides the cloud-based vehicle connectivity technology, program deployment, and management capability in more than 50 countries and 30 languages, and supports over 5 million vehicles and hundreds of millions of transactions per month.
As a global communications and connected car leader, AT&T currently provides automotive manufacturers with mobile vehicle internet access and Global SIM platform to leverage a single wireless carrier relationship for multiple connected devices and programs across the globe.
