SkyBitz®, the provider of remote asset tracking and information management technology has announced that GP II Energy, Inc., an oil and gas drilling and rental equipment company, has selected their GLS asset tracking product for more than 600 of its frac tanks and other equipment.
GP II Energy was looking for a more complete picture of its available equipment in the field. The information provided by SkyBitz helps operations personnel quickly find and coordinate the movement of critical equipment and optimize its allocation. It also helps to reduce transportation costs to remote well pad or drilling sites. Using SkyBitz technologies for total asset visibility also gives GP II Energy the benefit of increased safety and security, allowing for quick recovery of missing or stolen equipment.
“We are constantly looking for ways to streamline and improve our operational efficiencies. We were tracking everything manually through spreadsheets. SkyBitz remote asset tracking and information management technology has helped us get a better picture of our frac tanks, trailers and other equipment. Ninety-nine percent of our rental equipment is in the field at all times and needs to be tracked. That’s why it’s so important to know where it is,” said Les Bullard, Operations Superintendent, GP II Energy, Inc.
