Entone, Inc., a global leader of Cloud TV and Connected Home solutions, announced that Horry Telephone Cooperative (HTC) has selected its Engage™ hosted service assurance platform to support their hybrid IPTV services. Engage is Entone’s multi-device (IoT) service assurance solution that provides premium support and management tools to ensure an optimized consumer experience.

For over 60 years, HTC has been committed to offering advanced telecommunications services residential and business customers throughout the Horry and Georgetown communities. Today, HTC, based in Conway, South Carolina is the largest telephone cooperative in the U.S. with over 50,000 access lines.

“With the proliferation of consumer-purchased IP devices and new challenges due to convergence of networks and IP applications and services, not only is it necessary to deliver a high-quality, multi-screen video experience but reducing truck rolls and support calls are also important in making a profitable business case for Hybrid TV,” commented Scott Everett, Chief Executive of Plant Operations at HTC. “Entone’s Engage platform ensures that we are operating efficiently while also delivering an optimal subscriber experience.”

Entone’s Engage hosted service assurance platform offers a suite of software tools customised for service providers to help them manage and support their hybrid IP services.

“The number of IP devices is exploding,” commented Bill Hughes, Director of Product Management at Entone. “Entone is building on our heritage as an IP device and software pioneer by helping operators simplify the growing complexity of the connected home.”
