D-Link is to enable ISPs to accelerate the introduction of ‘fifth play’ services, and a crucial route to enhanced customer loyalty, by offering its smart home ecosystem through telecoms service providers across Europe.
Service providers have already enhanced their customers’ homes through enabling connectivity and entertainment, and are now using that expertise, infrastructure and customer relationships to add smart home technology to their services. Service providers are looking at ways to better support their customers as they seek to monitor, control and protect their homes with home automation devices.
Through D-Link, service providers will have access to a full smart home ecosystem with proven market success, including contact sensors, sirens, smart plugs, water sensors and security cameras. D-Link is the market leader in home security cameras with 67.9% market share by units shipped across Europe*– as consumers view security cameras as a priority device in making their home smarter, service providers are seeking to take advantage of this opportunity. At the same time, consumers want the support of service providers to simplify the installation process.
