Customisable IoT device launched with five sensors and ‘endless’ combination of tracking options

Symbisa, created by Hanhaa, is a multifunctional Internet of Things (IoT) device with five built-in sensors that make an endless combination of monitoring options possible.

This customisable device has sensors that measure location, light, temperature, humidity and movement. Symbisa takes the concept of empowerment to the next level giving the user easy solutions to a multitude of problems all in one piece of technology. Among its endless possibilities, Symbisa can be used to track down valuables, to ensure the perfect temperature and humidity while transporting fragile artwork, to check on your home while you are away, or locating your pets while they are outside or you are away.

Symbisa is easy to set up, the data collected remains private, and no technical skills are required. It comes with a user-friendly interface that makes it easy to customise by simply dragging and dropping the sensor icons to the action panel. Choose from preset sequences to complete tasks or use a smartphone or tablet to create a custom sequence that can set triggers, conditions and capture readings. It automatically connects to the internet with no configuration necessary — only a battery is needed.Symbisa_06

“Symbisa is perfect for anyone. While it comes with a user-friendly interface, for more advanced users, we’ve made it fully customisable both in terms of hardware and coding. We blended hardware, services, and support into a single device that makes a plethora of capabilities available to you. Making it easy to engage with your IoT and get active within minutes.” explains, Azhar Hussain, founder of Hanhaa.

Hanhaa, founded by Azhar Hussain MBE has created Symbisa. The company is made up of a group of experienced engineers and executives focused on empowering the inventors of tomorrow. They have extensive experience in the electronics world and created Mango Cube, a pocket sized Arduino compatible board that was 300% funded on Kickstarter. Hanhaa also won the first prize in the Internet of Things category at the “4 Years From Now (4YFN)” competition at the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona.

In order to raise funds to complete manufacturing on the same production line as the Raspberry Pi, Hanhaa has launched a Kickstarter campaign. The Symbisa inventor kit is available for preorder until January 16th, 2016.
