Symmetry Electronics partners with Aeris to open new IoT connectivity channels for its customers

Andy Greig, VP-Sales, North America, Aeris

Symmetry Electronics has announced a partnership with Aeris to provide customers with easy access to cellular connectivity services.

With this partnership, Symmetry’s customers reportedly have a hassle-free, online process to purchase hardware bundled with cellular connectivity services, thereby avoiding the lengthy and complex process of purchasing products from a hardware provider and then activating them separately with a cellular service provider.

Through Symmetry’s “research and buy online” destination, the SemiconductorStore, customers will be able to purchase and manage IoT connectivity powered by Aeris, the only cellular network designed and built exclusively for machines. Through the online portal, customers can purchase and activate SIM cards, choose a rate plan, set alerts and alarms, troubleshoot connectivity issues and run a variety of reports all in one place.

“Our customers are looking for a seamless solution to easily purchase and manage connectivity along with IoT devices. By eliminating the need to turn elsewhere to find a connectivity partner, we can ensure our customers can deploy their devices faster than ever before,” said David Beck, vice president of Marketing at Symmetry. “Aeris has an easy to use IoT connectivity platform that enables advanced management functions typically only available to the largest corporations.”

This partnership eliminates the need to negotiate lengthy, time-consuming contracts with traditional cellular data providers and puts cellular connectivity into the hands of customers much faster. With Symmetry’s new streamlined solution, customers can connect their IoT devices minutes after receiving their SIMs and deploy their products with ease.

“Creating and deploying an IoT solution can often be a disjointed and complex process, but we hope to ease some of those hassles through this partnership,” said Andy Greig, vice president of Sales, North America, for Aeris. “Symmetry’s new service, coupled with Aeris’ award-winning platform, will help Symmetry customers bring their IoT devices and solutions to the market faster by eliminating traditional roadblocks to connecting devices. With this solution, Symmetry customers will now have a single point of access to control and manage all of their devices efficiently.”
