Haier Air Conditioning and Intesis sign strategic deal for KNX gateways

Haier Air Conditioning division director, Mrs. Wang Li, and Intesis Software’s CEO, Mr. Josep Cerón, signed a strategic partnership deal to coincide with the presence of both companies in Mostra Convegno Expocomfort, held in Milan from 15 to 18 March.

Under the deal, Haier will provide KNX connectivity for IntesisBox Air Conditioning devices. KNX is a worldwide standard for Home and Building Control, including lighting and air conditioning control and various security systems. KNX is an independent standard with more than 400 associated companies.

With this alliance, Haier joins a large number of international manufacturers of air conditioning (AC) systems that have already used IntesisBox solutions for the integration of AC, using the main standards for home and building control, such as KNX, Modbus and BACnet among others.

Haier.Intesis.signing.23.3.16Intesis develops and manufactures solutions for home and building automation to be sold in over 90 countries. IntesisBox is the brand under which a range of gateways for home and building systems integration is marketed. Other Intesis Software brands include: IntesisHome, a complete system in the cloud for climate control via your smartphone, tablet or computer, independent from the AC brand to control; and Houseinhand, an advanced app to control KNX home automation installations.

Haier is a global appliance brand, including AC systems. It has a total of 29 manufacturing plants and 16 industrial parks across Europe, North America, Asia, Middle East and Africa, including an R&D centre in Nuremberg, Germany and Campodoro Refrigerator factory in Italy.
