Got a prize-winning smart city idea? Find out as oneTRANSPORT hosts a London ‘ideathon’

oneTRANSPORT, a smart city initiative focused on improving the efficiency and experience of transport networks across the UK, will bring together local UK authorities and solutions providers to collaborate and drive forward IoT innovation in London on Friday June 30, 2017.

oneTRANSPORT is a two-year Innovate UK project, proposed by a consortium of eleven partners including Arup, Buckinghamshire County Council, Clearview Intelligence, Hertfordshire County Council, Highways England, Imperial College London, Northamptonshire County Council, Oxfordshire County Council, Traak Systems, Worldsensing and InterDigital Europe.

The technology utilised by this integrated transport initiative is contributed from many of its participating members, including InterDigital, which provides its oneM2M standardised platform, and will be used to assist transport authorities while laying the foundation for smarter multi-modal, multi-region and multi-system transport networks in the UK.

The attending consortium of solution providers will comprise transport industry experts, IoT technology providers and thought leaders in big data and analytics.

This planned ‘ideathon’ is an opportunity for the co-creation and promotion of data-driven solutions in an open forum, and a chance to explore how they can be used to create value for UK authorities.

MatrooneTRANSPORT is looking for technology that can benefit from a combination of datasets offered through an open marketplace. The most stimulating solutions and ideas will be presented at the beginning of the event.

Multi-sided groups will then be formed that will either co-create more elaborate solutions, or polish initial ideas into commercial offerings. The final solutions will then be pitched to a judging panel against a range of criteria at the end of the day. Prizes will be available for a number of categories.

To register your interest in the ideathon, please follow this link and RSVP by 30th June.
