PTC named Industrial IoT Company of the Year and IoT Innovative Product of the Year vendor

PTC, has received the 2017 Compass Intelligence Awards for Industrial Internet of Things Company of the Year (IIoT) and IoT Innovative Product of the Year Vendor for the Consumer Market for its ThingWorx® Studio augmented reality (AR) solution.

The 5th annual Compass Intelligence Awards winners were selected by more than 40 industry-leading press, editors, journalists, thought leaders, and analysts who cover technology. The programme included three primary award categories: Mobile & Wireless, A-List in IoT, and Bamboo Mobile (Green Tech). The 68 awards identify the best in mobile devices and software, wireless technology, platforms, Internet of Things, wearables, reuse/recycling of devices, connected products, robotics, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and emerging solutions.

This is the third consecutive year that PTC has seen its IoT leadership recognised by the Compass Intelligence Awards. In 2016, PTC was named Internet of Things Enablement Company of the Year and Leading Augmented Reality Vendor, and in 2015 PTC was named IoT Innovation Vendor of the Year for its ThingWorx® IoT technology.

PTC’s ThingWorx technology has grown alongside the Industrial IoT market, becoming one of the most widely-used and trusted ways for companies to leverage the Industrial IoT to create smart, connected operations, products, and solutions.

PTC was also recognised as IoT Innovative Product of the Year Vendor for the ThingWorx Studio augmented reality authoring and publishing tool. Leveraging Vuforia® computer vision technology, ThingWorx Studio democratises AR development by enabling users to author and publish AR experiences without requiring programming or coding skills.
