InfiNet Wireless to showcase its latest Smart City solutions at GITEX Technology Week 2017

InfiNet Wireless, the provider in fixed broadband wireless connectivity, will showcase its cutting-edge Smart City solution portfolio at GITEX Technology Week 2017 in Dubai, 8-12 October.

Addressing the mission-critical needs of homeland security, traffic management and optimisation, remote environmental and health monitoring, InfiNet’s portfolio is uniquely positioned to deliver the robust and reliable infrastructures which are essential for any Smart City project.

“With a rapid growth in population across the world in urban cities, the evolution of Smart Cities will enable a better quality of life in these environments,” said Kamal Mokrani, global vice president at InfiNet Wireless. “We must recognise that legacy cable infrastructures can only take the Smart City initiative up to a certain point. A key requirement is the necessary accommodation of all types of users’ mobility, bearing in mind that these legacy networks severely hamper the delivery of current and future services.

Our journey towards the Smart Cities of tomorrow must be less of a sprint and more of a methodical march. The applications – if built on the back of a robust, flexible, responsive and reliable wireless platform – will usher in that new “Smart City Age” we have all been waiting for.”

InfiNet Wireless has three key benefits which will aid the Smart City implementation across the globe:

Higher Throughput: InfiNet Wireless provides unmatched coverage and throughput. The cost-effective point-to-point solutions provide an unprecedented net capacity of up to 1 Gbps over long distances, in both Line-of-Sight (LOS) and Non-Line-of-Sight (NLOS) conditions.

Best Quality/Price Ratio: Combining its advanced MIMO radio technologies with the best data management and transmission protocols available in the marketplace today, InfiNet Wireless allows its customers to benefit from a carrier-grade infrastructure for all their data requirements, supporting bandwidths from as low as 1 Mbps up to 1 Gbps on a “pay-as-you-grow” basis.

Wide Range of Frequency Bands: InfiNet Wireless carrier solutions support a wide selection of frequency bands ranging from 2.0 GHz all the way up to 6.4 GHz, all supporting advanced networking features, interference mitigation and full Quality of Service (QoS).

Among the InfiNet solutions to be displayed at GITEX 2017 will be the InfiLINK XG 1000, the latest product which was pre-launched during GITEX 2016. This solution is now able to provide throughputs of up to 1 Gigabit per second over the air in 5GHz license-free frequency bands, effectively doubling the capacity of InfiNet’s previous highest performing product, the InfiLINK XG.

GITEX 2017 will see global experts from the Middle East and beyond come together in Dubai, the world’s fastest growing technology hub.

“We have grown substantially in the Middle East in previous years and we continue to see strong demand for our solutions, from partners from this region and from around the world, who are all central to our company’s growth strategy. As local governments and enterprises ramp up their investment towards a smarter future, we expect to see a further increase in demand for our wireless solutions and we look forward to sharing our experience and know-how with individuals and enterprises across the region during GITEX 2017,” concluded Kamal.

InfiNet Wireless can be found in Zabeel Hall, Stand Z-J10.
