Taoglas unveils range of high performance LTE antennas

Taoglas USA, Inc., provider of antenna solutions to the M2M and connected device market, unveiled a range of ultra-wideband LTE antennas.

Included in this off-the-shelf range are through hole, adhesive and connector mount external antennas as well as internal, surface mount, on-board and off-board, flexible polymer antennas. The new TG.30 Apex, FXUB.66 Maximus and PA.710A Warrior wide-band antennas cover all working frequencies in the 700-6000 MHz spectrum, including 2G/3G/4G cellular, Wi-Fi, ISM, GPS and AGPS.

“The demand for high performance wireless access is driving the move to 4G/LTE networks. With LTE devices, there are two antenna ports for transmitting and receiving information, enabling the high throughput that today’s connected devices require,” said Dermot O’Shea, director at Taoglas. “Taoglas has developed a range of antennas all with very high performance to meet the demands of LTE networks and devices. Using any of our off-the-shelf LTE antennas will future proof M2M devices for next generation networks.”

With an efficiency of up to 90%, the TG30 Apex ultra-wideband, dipole terminal connector mount antenna is one of the highest performance LTE antennas in the market.

The PA.710A Warrior surface mount antenna is delivered on tape and reel and is mounted via the production reflow process to the main PCB. This range of LTE antennas adds to recently launched combination external LTE antennas, the MA208 Stream and the MA700 Pantheon.

The FXUB.66 Maximus is a thin, flexible, polymer antenna measuring 120.4×50.4x.2mm. It is assembled by a simple “peel and stick” process, attaching securely to non-metal surfaces via 3M adhesive.

The Maximus antenna has a unique hybrid design, which displays good efficiency at lower frequencies, while maintaining high performance across the entire bands.
