IoT industry analyst firm, MachNation, has announced the publication of what it says is the industry’s first IoT Platform-Enabled Solutions (PES) ScoreCard and IoT AEP worldwide forecast.
Among its key findings are that:
- Worldwide Internet of Things (IoT) application enablement and device management revenue was US$600 million in 2015 growing to US$83.4 billion by 2025 at a compound annual growth rate of 65%.
- Third party IoT vendors generated 55% of the worldwide IoT application enablement and device management revenue
Developed world countries generated 74% of the worldwide IoT application enablement and device management revenue
- With the release of its IoT PES ScoreCard, MachNation rated 15 PES vendors’ technology solutions. Vendors included Arrayent, Autodesk, Bosch, Davra Networks, DGLogik, Ericsson, Exosite, Helium, IQP, Philips, Plat.ONE, Samsara, Sensera Systems, Solair Corporate and Xively.
According to MachNation, the best PES vendors offer a solution-centric offering optimised to reduce the time to deliver a fully-enabled, end-to-end, vertical IoT solution to customers.
