Ericsson announced today that that they have successfully completed the asset purchase agreement to acquire Telenor Connexion’s M2M (machine-to-machine) technology platform.

Telenor Connexion, a Swedish provider of M2M communications services, has expanded its business development team in the U.S.

Ericsson is buying Telenor Connexion’s M2M technology platform for an undisclosed sum. Technology and 11 employees will be transferred as part of the deal.

WCDMA module shipments will grow from less than four million last year to more than 62 million in 2016, according to a forecast from ABI Research.
