Zest4 appoints LeSaux from Telefonica as new head of M2M

Anton Le Saux, head of M2M, Zest4

To expand its M2M Partner Programme, Zest4 has invested in a well-known industry figure to lead its machine-to-machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT) business.

Anton Le Saux will join Zest4 in early September 2016 bringing with him over 20 years’ experience in the mobile network industry and 17 years’ experience in the in-direct channel business. Anton has spent the last 3 years heading up and developing the IoT and M2M business for telecommunications provider Telefonica.

Anton’s appointment follows a series of significant M2M developments for Zest4 over the last 12 months, as part of its strategy to help channel partners enter the M2M and IoT market.

In October 2015, Zest4 announced a partnership with Arkessa in response to the growing demand by communications resellers looking to realise the growth opportunity in M2M. Together, Zest4 and Arkessa have developed a truly complete M2M package for resellers that’s not available anywhere else on the market.

The Zest4 M2M Partner Programme was officially launched in May 2016 and provides channel partners with expert M2M knowledge and technical support, training through the Zest4 partner academy, marketing support, optimised tariffs and competitive commercials.

As head of M2M for Zest4, Anton will take over the Zest4 M2M Partner Programme, working with the existing Channel Sales team to further develop and deliver the enablement programme. Anton and the team are said to be dedicated to recruiting new partners, helping them to build bespoke M2M strategies, educate their customers and make adding M2M to their portfolio a reality.

Commenting on the opportunity to join Zest4, Anton said, “I am extremely delighted to be joining Zest4 and to help shape the company’s continuing M2M journey. I have huge respect and admiration for the work the team have done over the last 12 months in developing the M2M proposition. The partnership with Arkessa is what really differentiates Zest4 from the rest of the market, enabling them to offer a truly complete and unique service for the channel, encompassing managed platforms as well as connectivity.”

“The Internet of Things and M2M are phrases that are on everyone’s lips, but in reality, a large proportion of resellers don’t really understand how they can profit from M2M or access the growing opportunity. My prime focus will be on educating the channel to enable them to clearly see the bigger picture and understand the longer-term revenues that M2M offers and what it can do for their customers. M2M technology offers huge benefits to businesses in terms of automation and smarter ways of working, which can ultimately save them valuable time and money,” he added.

Regarding Zest4’s continuing commitment to M2M, Mandy Fazelynia, Zest4’s Operations & Business Development director, said, “We have made great progress over the last year in adding M2M to our product portfolio following the formation of our partnership with Arkessa. The appointment of Anton to our team reinforces our commitment to M2M and the channel, and will enable us to further develop our in-house knowledge and expertise.”

Fazelynia added, “We are all looking forward to Anton joining us in September and are excited for our future in M2M. Our prime goal is for Zest4 to become the go-to provider for M2M and IoT services in the channel. With the continued support of Arkessa and with Anton’s skills and experience, we are confident that this goal will become a reality.”
