AetherIoT partners with Wirepas

AetherIoT, a real-time location & sensor data (RTLSS) solutions provider, announces its partnership with Wirepas, a company democratising IoT connectivity through innovative mesh technology.

AetherIoT is on a mission to make RTLSS more scalable, affordable, and ROI-driving for businesses worldwide. AetherMesh hardware suite (anchors, tags, and sensors) leverages Wirepas Mesh technology to enable RTLSS across indoor facilities, yards, and fleets.

Compared to many RTLSS solutions that exist today, AetherMesh, powered by Wirepas Mesh, offers key distinctive advantages for project owners:

Low installation & maintenance costs: Plug-and-play hardware requires no wiring and lasts years on battery power.

Highly scalable: A wide range of devices and functionalities are available; users add more plug-and-play devices to expand the coverage area quickly.

Reliable and future-proof: Automatically self-healing network, fully end-to-end encrypted messages, and over-the-air updates.

Specific use case examples of AetherMesh include:

Indoor facilities – tracking the location and real-time movement of thousands (up to hundreds of thousands) of pallets across supply chain warehouses; sensors detect the temperature, humidity, and utilisation of machines in oil refineries.

Yards – coordinating loading/unloading docks to streamline processes and improve worker health & safety.

Fleets – providing location and sensor data on cargo/pallets aboard in-transit vehicles; see recent publication here.

All data collected from AetherMesh and other devices are normalised via AetherIoT middleware (device/radio frequency agnostic), making them easily accessible by 3rd party cloud or software.

“At Wirepas, we champion doing things differently and value partners who think outside the box to bring the best, cutting-edge solutions to their industries. We’re happy to be AetherIoT’s reliable network on which they build and innovate in Supply chain, Oil & Gas, Shipping and Materials handling industry that touches all of us somehow,” says Teppo Hemiä, CEO of Wirepas.

“Wirepas Massive fills a gap for real-time location & sensor data (RTLSS) solutions with a highly robust, scalable, low-power IoT connectivity that is also cost-effective to deploy and maintain. Wirepas Massive has huge market potential, and we are excited to leverage its technology across our RTLSS products,” says Gregory Lee, CEO of AetherIoT.
