Tigo & Aeris collaborate to reduce cost of energy via IoT technology

Tigo, a provider of the smart modular Flex Module-Level Power Electronics (MLPE) platform, and Aeris, a technology provider in the Internet of Things (IoT), announced they are collaborating to help users of solar energy reduce their costs through IoT technologies.

Tigo is using an IoT solution enabled by Aeris to provide worldwide cellular connectivity under a single platform to businesses, schools, government agencies and residential users. Aeris IoT Connectivity services offer many innovative features that allow Tigo to enhance its service delivery and increase service radius. Tigo will incorporate the Aeris IoT Services platform into its best-in-class monitoring platform for users of solar energy who do not have access to Wi-Fi and Ethernet connections.

Combining a unique systems-level approach with expertise in semi-conductors, power electronics, and solar energy, Tigo developed the next-generation Flex MLPE platform and Smart Module Optimiser technology for the solar industry. Tigo is the first to deliver IoT technology for the PV module with its TS4 platform, which has been adopted by more than 40 manufacturers.
